What Women Want: The 2010 Winnebago Tour An RV is a home on wheels. When it comes to the inside of the home, women call the shots.
Diane Beeber 4+ years RV sales experience 12+ years of husband experience
The 2010 Tour is Winnebago Industries’ top-of-the-line, high line coach because everywhere you look you see details that create a residential feeling. Well, women will notice the details. Details are sort of a crapshoot with husbands. When a man walks into the 2010 Winnebago Tour, he may see just another place to kick his feet up and watch football. But women, on the other hand, will see the Ritz Carlton on wheels.
One of the major features of the Tour is the full wall slide that opens up the entire living area and eliminates the narrow hallway that runs though the middle of a lot of coaches. Whether you’re in the 42– or 40–foot floor plan, the full wall slide brings the living space to life and gives the coach a spacious feel beyond what traditional slides can give.
Many luxury coaches may have “the look,” but they compromise on the amount of storage they offer. The Tour has the elegance that women love and the storage that we need. The driver’s side interior wall is lined with solid wood cabinets. They look great and offer a wealth of storage so everything can have its place. Not that our husbands will ever be able to find it.
The kitchen has scratch-resistant and easy to clean Corian countertops with plenty of cabinet space for even more storage. One great feature of these cabinets is that a woman doesn’t need a stepladder to access anything inside. Most importantly, we don’t have to wait until the next commercial break for our husbands to fetch something we can’t reach.

The Tour is the Winnie Flagship but my Winnie Destination is more unique and luxurious. For a unit half the price I proceeded to do a major remodel on a new coach. Results: looks like a 500K coach. Spent less than 20K.

You need to remember she s writing from a woman s perspective... Being in marketing I think she did a great job with this article.

The story is sooooo cute. Makes your husband sound like a jek and you a spoiled princess . I suggest you find someone who can write without being so trite. There are plenty of unemployed journalists available. Time to rehire and get a professiona

Sounds like a man bassing story rather than a new motorhome with some new features. Might like the coach, not the story.

Take a beautiful, sexy woman and put her on the story cover and she could sell pup tents. Given that this is written from a woman s perspective, I enjoyed it. It really told me about the Tour with details that men often miss.

Great article. My wife and I are looking at getting another RV (we have a 40 foot Eagle now) and we will SERIOUSLY look into this unit as a potential option - (because of your article). Thanks. Greig

The descriptions are good but you could leave a few of the husband bashers out. After all it is the husband that pays for the coach most of the time.

Please do not make such sexist remarks in your commercial. After all you are talking about a 2010 model not 1950. As a female I care about the whole RV as I suspect most males do also. It seems like a very comfortable RV,

I take offense at the male vs. female neatness angle of this article. I and many of my married male friends not only take care of the outside of the RV s, do all the driving but also do the wash and cleaning of the interior as well as finalnces.

Not every man is clumsy, stupid, or a slob! I wonder who helped pay for the coach the Lady is describing? America would be better if we quit dumbing down men . Vic

It sounds like this woman lives with a pig. Not all men are as like that. My husband is sometimes neater than I am. We are fully timers and we both do inside and outside. Find someone who not only sell these units but also lives in them

Ithink the 2010 Winnebago is out of this world, tile just fabolous, all in cleaning in this motorhome is a whiff, done in no time as it is streamlined. Just wonderful.

Cute story, but could have gone a bit easier on the guys, spilling the wine and so forth. Point of humor taken early on. RV looks delightful!

As the proud owner of a Winnebago for the last 7 years, I take offense of how you let this sales person present your 2010 Tour. What a femenist!! This ad makes us men look like a bunch of pigs in a sty and should be kept outside. I like the Tour.
