We have a continuing problem with our 4 year old (6,000 mi) Alfa See ya livingroom slide. The problem is we are on our 3rd motor, and it just went out. We never store it with the slide out and don't go often as we dont' trust the coach. We bought extended warranty, as the "Company" is out of business it was a good thing we did. The repairs to date have been under warranty. But there must be something else going on to make the motor keep failing. Anyone have the same problem, or a way to force the dealer to finally find the problems?

Some suggestions that would prevent motor failure: Slide maintenance clean and or wax all sides and especially the floor to reduce friction when operating. check rollers or slide blocks, lubricate slide seals, operate only with fully charged batteries, have wiring to motor checked to assure proper ampacity rated wire was installed. Check with volt meter at motor during operation for excessive voltage drop. The voltage drop could be caused by any or a combination of all the above maintenance items.
