I have no idea why the RV makers install such poor mattresses in their units given how important they are. Mine came with a foam mattress and even the tops you put on them do not help me. I had been wondering how you get an innerspring mattress into a RV and have learned that they are rolled up and when you put them in place, they are unwrapped and expand out to their intended shape. Can someone give me some feedback on which brands and models are best for the money? Mine would be a queen short. Thanks. Tom

It may be necessary to locate a local custom mattress manufacturer to be able to accomodate any unusual shapes or sizes. Mattress manufacturers are not difficult to find as they are located in most all larger cities. A custom mattress manufacturer is not only capable of providing you with the exact shape and size but also the firmness desired.
