I have left a light on and my house batteries are dead, can not start my generator to charge them. How can I jump start the generator? My engine starts but don't beleive it charges the house batteries. this is a 2005/40 ft Scepter with inverter etc.
HELP!!

The house batteries will charge from alternator if everything is working properly. Allow engine to run for several minutes and then use aux start / battery boost to start generator. Your converter / inverter should then come on line to charge house batteries also. If house batteries are not charging from alternator as they should, jumper cables can be used to jump from chassis batteries to house batteries. In many cases the batteries are located close to each other and this is a very simple process. Connecting positive terminals with jumper cables should allow generator to start. Connecting ground cable should not be necessary since both batteries share chassis ground.
