My 2001 HR Imperial air dump valves are controlled from a pushbutton on the dash to lower the coach when I shutdown the coach for the day's trip. The coach's dump valves do not adequately lower the system air pressure in a timely manner requiring me to pump the breaks to bleed off the air system and lower the coach. Observing other coaches and talking to other owneres over the past 8 years as well as reviewing the electrical schematic, it would appear that with a push of a button on the dash would allow the air system to bleed off and lower the coach. I located the front dump valve and it is working. It is square, blue and mounted in the front on the fire wall compartment above the generator. After looking for some time, I can not locate the rear dump valve(s). I did locate the exhaust break solenoid valve.
What does the rear dump valve(s) look like and where would they be located? Should the air dump switch be able to vent off the air pressure and therefore lower the coach in a timely manner without pumping the breaks?

The rear dump valves should be located in the engine compartment on the roadside, attached to the frame below the alternator. The dump valves are only designed to dump air bags. They will not dump the entire air system as pumping the brakes. Should be of similar design as front dump valve. You should be able to follow air lines from bags to valve. It may be different color but size and shape will be similar. It is a different part number so it will not be identical. Same approximate size, two wire solenoid with air line attached. Let me know how you do! Caution, Caution, Caution anytime you are under a vehicle working on air system. Be aware of system dumping air while you are under coach. Always a safe practice to use jack stands to support frame.
