Our new 09 tour (picked it up 1 week ago) 40wd drivers side slide is leaking. I have e mailed our service advisor at Lazydays to advise him of the issue, as we are returning early March for some parts that were ordered needing replacement.

I looked at the slide roof while exteneded and it looks like the seal is not flat on the roof in a few areas.. i guess this may contribute to the leak... my question is; how can i reach the seal to clean and spray lub on it?? the retractable cover is in the way.. thanks

The slide topper does make it difficult to reach the top slide gasket. There are a couple of possibilities to gain access to the top gasket. One is to remove slide topper. If this is done you will need to be familiar with the spring tension of the slide topper and how to pin each spring or how to relieve and reapply the spring tension. Another possibility would be to gain access under the slide topper. The slide topper will usually have several turns left on the roller when the room is fully extended. The slide topper can be opened a couple of extra turns by hand. Once it has been extended it can be pinned to stay in that position. An empty cardboard box works well at this time. Put the box on top of the slide and under the slide topper to hold the extra slide topper material off the slide roof. This should give you enough room to work under the slide topper material and do minor gasket lubrication or repair.
