We have a Damon Escaper diesel pusher motor home with 325 Caterpillar engine. On a trip, the alternator gage went to 18V. We arrived at our destination campground, and a week later when we started again the “alt” light came on. Took the motor home to Catepillar and they replaced the alternator. All seemed okay. We went on a 450 mile trip and returned home without problem. Parked the RV close to the house to clean, and do the after trip checks. Several days later when ready to move it to the parking pad, started the motorhome and all of the warning lights on the dash board (22 of them) came on, horn started sounding, head lights came on, etc. Immediately stopped the engine. We tried again after several minutes, and it started fine, but the alt. gauge indicated 18V and the alt. and ABS light stayed on. Called Catepillar and was told to bring it in. Again, they changed the alternator, but could not fix the ABS system. Took it to the Freightliner Service center where they replaced the ABS electronic system. Also found the dash board radio, the back-up camera system, electric step, 4-way flasher, electric/air horn, headlights, side light markers and more were “grilled.” Our question is could all of this happen because of the replacement alternator failure?

Yes, excessive voltage could cause all those problems. It could have been caused by AC voltage from the faulty alternator also.
