House batteries must be deep cycle to prevent damage from continuous discharge and recharging. The best batteries to use today are Glass Mat (AGM) batteries. Batteries are rated in cold cranking amps (CCA) or amp hours (AH). The higher the rating the better you will be for dry camping.
