I bought a 2009 Jayco Eagle Superlight last summer and the Norcold refrigerator will not light at any altitude above 1500 ft. Any one had this problem. Norcold told me above 5500 ft. use electrical hook up but this is above 1500 ft. Still under warranty but if the mechanics don't know what is wrong guess Jayco warranty's are worthless. Had the exact same refrigerator in my last Jayco and it worked above 8700 ft flawlessly. Someone with a 2010 Superlight in Colorado just reported the same problem on another forum.

The 1st thing to check would be lp operating pressure. This should be done at the gas valve on the refrigerator with a manometer. Also check burner and orifice to make sure they are clean. Also check ignitor to be sure it is clean and is the correct distance from burner. These are all basic checks that any RV technician should know. Also confirm dc voltage during try for ignition as low voltage or a weak connection may only show under a load. Static voltage check will not show a problem.
