Larry (Vancouver,Washington)	Most of the articals I have read relating to using the jacks to create a better slant for empting the tanks say to only use the jacks away from the outlet, thus pointing the flow down hill, I also bought one of the back-flow attachments that hook up

Larry (Vancouver,WA)	In as much as using your jacks to remove the weight from your tires, I can only see long term problems with the jacks exposing the unprotected part of the leg to the weather, next time you jack up look at the bright shiny part and imagine rust. I just use some wooden pads under the tires to keep them off the wet cold ground and then cover them.

Bill Whetstone Posts 132	Larry brings up a good question, maybe Steve can share. For us, we are full time, but it also means being on one place for a long time. Here we are on our site from May to Oct in Yellowstone, and last year had the jacks down that whole time. Is there an issue with the jacks exposed? No problem last year, but moving forward? Should the exposed portions be sprayed or anything? -- Bill Whetstone, Forum Leader

Steve Roddy Lazydays Employee Posts 617	Keep them clean and occasionaly wipe them down with transmission fluid on a rag. This will protect them from rust and corrosion. Salt water atmosphere will be more problem than just the jacks. A tip for those on the beach. Put a lawn sprinkler in the parking lot and slowly drive over to rinse under the RV(this also works for those coming from salt covered winter roads).
