I have a 2001 Allegro with a Dometic Americana 2852 which is freezing good in the freezer section but has limited cooling (48 to 54) in the refrigerator section. I'm thinking thermistor. Is there something else that would cause that condition? Thanks, **** T

Does it perfom the same on gas and electric? Is it level (comfortable to live-in)? Check vents, side and roof, for obstructions. Do not install screens or filters on vents. Was the refrigerator working properly before? If the thermistor is turning off the refrigerator before it is cold the gas flame or heating element will be off, this should be easy to check when operating on gas. Make sure thermometer is in a glass of water when it is in the refrigerator. We only care about air temperature from an air conditioner. We need food temperature in the refrigerator.
