I'm sure this question has been asked a million times - please indulge me! I do not own an RV YET. Beginning the big look and plan on making a purchase in 2011. Where can I find information comparing Class A and Class C. Intial cost, cost of ownership, insurance costs etc. I know the differences but want to know the practicality of one over the other. I am a single woman and probably don't want anything bigger than 30 ft and will be considering it my primary home for awhile. I live in the pacific northwest and plan to explore the coast from washington through california. Thanks for help and thoughts. k

A or C. Good question. You need to get in them and drive them. Come to Lazy Days and work with a salesman. Sit in one, pretend you are living in and using it. Look at the TV, stand at the stove and sink, go to the bedroom and 'use' the closet. Then head outside, think about what you will take along and where you will put it. This point the A will usually shine over a C, they typically have more storage. Some people like the dea of a C because of driving, but the A you are higher up and have that big windshield to see out. Really all down to personal preference.

Look at the Safari Trek, a class A in great multi use floorplans. In a C, a really nice floorplan is made by Fleetwood, a 31M.

Have FUN!

My wife and I are moving up from a 34ft TT to a 40 ft Tiffin Phaeton. What exactly wheel cut and what does a Phaeton having a 55 inch wheel cut mean to me.

We started "FullTiming" 5/1/10 and we "LOVE" this form of lifestyle. At this time in my life I will never own another stick home again. We can pack up and go to where ever we choose at any time. We have a Class A, 2002 Allegro Bus with 3 slides and it is just great. This is the largest vehicle I have ever driven and with a Great Co-Pilot life cannot be better. The trick is to steer from the hip, when your hip goes past the curb / corner, you then start your turn.Tthe main thing is you must learn to trust your mirrors and your common sense, don't put yourself or coach into a situation that can put you in danger.
