We have 2 AC units in our 40' motorhome. The front one practically freezes us out, unless I set the temp rather high. The back one in the bedroom seems to start out cool but gets warmer as it's run. At the beginning of the summer, even in high temps it worked great at 74 or 75, now, it's much cooler & I'm running it at 71-73 & by morning its not all that cool. I've cleaned the filters & looked inside as much as I can. Any other thoughts. Thanks.

Checking an air conditioners performance is very easy. All that is needed is a thermometer. After the a/c has been running for 30 minutes, measure the temperature of the air entering the intake (where the filter is located). Then measure the temperature of the air at the first discharge (cold air) vent. A temperature difference of approximately 20* indicates a working a/c. If you do not have temperature difference make sure you hear the compressor start approximately 2 minutes after the fan starts.
Problems with a/c are:
#1 Eletrical
#2 Air flow
#3 Refrigerant or Charge
