I have a 2002 Adventure 35U. the bedroom slide, which includes the bed and the closet, is 1/4 inch lower in the front and drags on the carpet. it looks like it might tear the trim off the front of the closet. when I look under the bed thru the vent I can see what looks like a slide block on each side of the bed. should there be another one nesr the front of the slide? I would like to take the bottom trim off the front of the closet so I can see under it, but I do not see nail heads. when I pry a little I think I see staples. did they staple it and then put a veneer or somthing over it. if I do get it off will I be able to see if there is another slide block and possibley what happened to it? Thanks, Mike

With the room extended you can look under the room and pull the gasket down for inspection of slide blocks or rollers. For inside inspection the best way to look under a slide is to have the room approximately half way out. Push on the top of the room which will tilt the room and raise the bottom. Have someone put a block under the floor of the room to keep it in a raised position. Now you can look under the slide to see if a block is loose. There will not be a block mounted any further than what would be covered when the room is in a fully extended position. Make any slide room adjustments in small increments, operate the slide to see if it improved the problem or made it worse. If the inside needs to be higher, lower the outside of the room. Most adjustments are on the outer edge of the room. We do not always adjust the end that needs to move but in some cases the opposite end in the opposite direction. Slide adjustments are usually very simple but if done incorrectly can cause structural damage. That is why we want to make small adjustments 1/4"-3/8" at a time and then operate the room to test results.

STEVE, are saying there are height adjustments on the slide blocks?

To adjust the height of the slide blocks you would need to install spacers under the blocks. If the blocks were not required to be at a higher level when new I can not think of anything that would require them to be moved to a higher now.

Steve, I was able to tilt the slide as you said and looked under to see the problem. under the closet I found a broken piece of nylon about 1/4 inch thick that looked like it should be on top of the steel pedestal that is near the stationary edge the RV. that little steel pedestal is what is scraping the under side of my slide and if that piece of nylon was on top of it that would level my slide and allow it slide more freely. do you think Lazy Days would have that part in stock if we scheduled service with them or would they have to order it after they looked at it? we are comming to Fl. in Jan. and could spend a day or two Lazy Days, but would be pressed for time after that. the closest RV repair center to home is not a Winnebago dealer and does not seem interested. Thanks Mike
