I have a 1995 Safari Ivory. I have replaced the front tv with a flat panel. The original tv was modified to provide a mirror image for the back up camera. The new tv is of course not modified to give me that mirror view. I would like to add a smaller monitor for the back up camera. Is there one available that will give me the mirror view without making modifications to the existing system?

It is usually the camera that gives you the mirror image and not the monitor. Make sure the camera is set to give you a mirror image. The TV just displays what is being sent from the camera.

I did check the camera, no settings on it. The tv was modified from the factory for the reverse image. I really do not want to replace the camera and monitor. Is there just a monitor out there with reverse imagae?

What brand of camera do you have on the Safari? If it played through the TV mounted in the front look for a toggle switch on the camera to change to reverse image. Does TV broadcast picture show a reverse image? What factory are you referring to that modified the TV?

It is a CCD. The tv did not reverse image when watching broadcast channels. It only reversed when the rear camera was in use. I assume it was modified from the Safari Factory. I had a tv repairman look at it and he told me it was modified to provide the mirror image when the rear camera was in use. No switch at all on the camera itself.

I used to work for Safari and the only thing I remember was a small toggle switch on the camera that would reverse the image. I do not remember the TV being altered by Safari.
