For several years, i have been powering off, cleaning, drying and storing my fridge with the doors open in my Class A pusher after every use. I may not use it for a couple of months at a time but store it with shore power applied.

Is this advisable? Could I simply leave it on all the time?

Thanks for your input.

There is no advantage to storing the refrigerator either on or off. It is important that the doors are open when storing in an off position. Since there are no moving parts in the cooling operation of an absorption refrigerator it will not wear out if left on all the time.

Aloha,
My Norcold refer in my 96 georgieboy Pursuit, works only in LP Mode. the unit is getting power, I followed your instruction on another post and "checked the outlet behind the vent with a hair dryer". When engaged the "AC" light flickers than it kicks to "LP" even when hooked to shore power. In your opinion where should I start looking for a probable cause? Thanks in advance.
Mahalo....

Provide me with a model number and I will send you a list of possibilities that will cause a Norcold refrigerator not to function on AC power..
