The retractable stairs on or RV no longer retract fully and seem to be getting slightly worse. Is there an easy remedy to this...like hydraulic fluid or other? New to RVing and learning the ropes.... Thanks!

Are we talking about the electric steps at the entry door? If so, lubrication is the #1 problem. Low voltage from batteries would be #2. Make sure all the pivot points of the steps are cleaned and lubricated. WD-40 will clean the steps but use Kwik-Lube or a silicone spray to lubricate the steps. The steps should be a part of your monthly maintenance schedule. Check the water level in the batteries and check the voltage from the batteries to make sure the step is getting the proper battery voltage. Also adding step mats or carpet to the steps could hinder step operation.
