Obviously healthcare coverage is needed. There are personal policies avalable, in many levels. COBRA only gets you a year or so and is typically quite expensive. It also varies state by state. Check online for your state.

I am well. I am 78. I owned an RV in 1994-98. Loved it. Drove it . It was fun. Then I decided full time was the way to go. Kids are skeptical. I found a 2003, 38 ,gas, 39,000. mi., Newmar Mountain Aire, $ 50,000. lush green. I m off to tour Alaska

I want to go full time RVing and travel, enjoying the experience. One has to becareful of criminals while traveling. It sounds like a wonderful experience if one can meet safe normal people enroute.

To the NJ person concerned about meeting criminals. Quick smart aleck answer is get out of NJ. However I know that is just a stereotype. Seriously, you meet the nicest people in RV's while you travel. Drop the fears, yet remain cautious. Take normal precautions while you adapt to a new way of life. When you get to the less populated areas you will breathe easier.

1. Full tming is the way to go and see America at your own taxpaying leisure, leave the yard work, noisy neighbors, and cold weather behind etc..., I recommend everyone first work your numbers, update your healthcare, and sell certain things for X $$

Thanks for the tips. Kim and i just purchased an r-pod to hit the road. Small but inexspensive to maintain and pull. We love it and laugh often at how different life on the road really is. We are re-learning how to do almost everything but enjoy it.
