Enjoyed your story very much, although it made me a bit road-sick.
Some folks get home-sick when they haven’t been home for a while.
My wife and I are in our 80 s. After tents,3 van conversions and 4
motor homes we are no longer able to travel due to ill health,
but we have many fond memories.

This story hits home. As the saying goes, been there and done that. I lived in Michigan for five years and did not mind the snow except when trying to make a long trip as you did. Really enjoyed the story and brought back memories, good and bad.

I generally do not take the time to read this type of e-mail however, I am glad that I did so with this article. Very interesting !! Being a recent RV addict, I will look for more of your articles. Unfortunately, we have just sold our RV.

Thanks for sharing your I-75 adventure. I just returned from S. Florida. The warm sun is good for the soul. Drove I-75 the entire trip in my RV. Stopped @ campgrounds along the way and had a great experience. Gotta love our RV.

We returned to the USA after being in Tripoli Libya (UASF) in 1964. Upon landing in Miami our 4year old daughter told me it wasn t her Miami but mine. I guess she really was right because I had been born in Ft Ldle and Miami was beautiful to visit.

We can relate only we did it in reverse. We are from west Palm Beach and left to early (April) headed to Alaska in our 40 ft. motorhome with jeep toadie. From bright and sunny to dark, snowy and sleety...never driven in snow before. what a trip!!!

Great story. After 7 years of over-the-road truck driving, I can t wait to get into RVing every spring/summer/fall. My home in South Florida will keep me comfortable in the winter. Now the proud owner of a Class A motorhome.

A real good read. We ve both got extensive bad weather driving experience, but never with the TT. We ll snowbird for the first time next February, so chances are good we ll do our share of slippin and slidin on our way out of Colorado.

So. Tx. no snow - Snow Birds only. I travel all over the state , in my 30 ft mh, and can relate to the story - with other problems. Enjoyed the article and some day I hope to do the same, in a smaller unit. Happy traveling/camping.
