You have been a big help in the past. Same motor home different slide-out. 2006 Expedition, bedroom Power Gear slide-out. Slide went out part way and stopped, Would then go neither in or out. I did disconnect motor power, unlocked the motor brake, and used a 3/4 " socket/ratchet to run the slide out. Should I look for anything before committing to changing out the motor? (Like - - If the motor will run if the brake is unlocked - - the motor is ok - - look somewhere else) It does not look too difficult - - could I change out the motor myself? Thanks for any advice.

Check for 12v power at the motor when the switch is engaged. Releasing the brake should make no difference. The brake is what keeps the motor from moving when no power is applied or it keeps the room from moving. There will be a fuse to the motor. If no 12v power at the motor check fuses.

With coach ignition on, motor disconnected, operated in/out switch & tried to measure 12VDC at the connector. could occasionally see a blip on the voltmeter but no 12VDC. (but I do expect there is 12VDC there occasionally, I can get the motor to run occasionally.) I chased the cable down thru the floor, into the electrical compartment, found not one but two Power Gear boxes, both had 12VDC on the left terminal. also tested both fuses, both good. I'm inclined to look next at the in/out rocker switch, when I get cooled off a little in this east TX weather. do you think the switch may be a place to look? a jumper wire might just get the slide working?

I checked the in/out switch, tested ok at no load with ohm meter, but did "jumper" and ran the room in and out. Now, where to pick-up new switch? Point me somewhere and I'll have it shipped to me. Thanks for your help.

OK - - next post I'll attach a photo or two if I can, showing configuration, then call Lazydays Parts. It looks like a simple switch replacement even if I must cut the yellow, green blue wires and attach them to another rocker switch - - - or two push button switches. May need to drill new switch hole(s) in the 4X4 plate.

I did contact Lazydays Parts by email but haven't heard back yet. Couldn't send photo or link so maybe you could forward configuration info from the photos I have posted. Just to make sure Parts has all the best info - - I think all I need is the switch - - the pigtail and the plate are fine. see photos at http://jeepinggators.smugmug.com/Needswitch/slide-room-control/17745953_q7CTtj#1354926561_VJrDqCN
