Replace your factory-installed RV lights with efficient LEDs
RV Quick Tips

Many RVs come with factory-installed incandescent lights that are just one-tenth the efficiency of LED lights, wasting 90% of their energy as heat—which is the last thing you want in your RV on a hot day. Replace your incandescent with LEDs that will last for 10 to 15 years and use 10% to 30% less electricity than even compact fluorescent bulbs. LED Prices are dropping and are now a simple procedure to replace the old bulbs in your rig with efficient LEDs. Try the directional type, which you can swivel to direct the light to exactly where you want it.

LEDs ARE DEFINITELY THE WAY TO GO, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE FREQUENTLY BOONDOCKING. HOWEVER, RIGHT NOW THEY ARE FAR TOO EXPENSIVE TO JUSTIFY THE CHANGE. ONCE THE PRICE DROPS AT LEAST 50% I LL CONSIDER THE CHANGEROVER.

I just bought a 2010 Tiffin Phaeton at Lazydays and I am in the process of changing the halogen lamps for the led lamps for two reasons. #1 is the heat they throw off and #2 is the cost of electricity they consume.
