Using a Voltmeter in your RV with Ernie

A good RVer isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and take matters into
their own hands when things go awry in the RV. In this series, Ernie Herring
reveals which tools every RVer should have in their personal toolbox
and how to use those tools like a seasoned pro.

We have a 98 winnabago with dual windows. The air or moisture has gotten between them and I can t see out real good. How do I fix them???

Good question Don. They are repairable. The average repair takes about 3-4 hours per window by a certified technician. I am the glass shop manager at Lazydays and I can personally help you answer your questions by calling me at 800-282-7800 Ext.4450.

Just bought one of these things and was wondering how it worked and what I could use it for. How does one go about getting someone to walk them through the various ways a voltmeter can be used to test fuses, plugs, etc..
Thanks

Ernie, Your opening window states our applicance operating voltage is 110 volts. Later in your demo you say 120 volts is just right. I know the 120 voltage is the proper voltage. You may be miss leading RV ers on this subject.

Contact Dodge for the chassis manual or Chilton's. Contact Fleetwood for owners manual. There will not be a service manual for the Fleetwood. Most manufacturers and appliance providers do have manuals on-line. You will need the manufacturer and model of each appliance.

The cabinets are installed by screwing them to the framework in the ceiling and walls. Use a stud finder and locate the supports to re-attach the cabinets.
